Poem about the goddess Hera, please tell me what that means?
The poem is called Hera (in Heraion) by Paul Hamilton Hayne times between Argos and Mycenae Myrtle bright half veiled in mystery and pine, the splendor of the shrine of ivory, which embowered, majestic, and carved on the forehead with an exaggerated hesitation locks, and by air, ethereal and divine, the goddess of olympic online Girt smiled calmly struck by the silence, as a sacred space: Unless the woman whispers sweet vague and distant sound begging – for fear that the fragile heart pulse rest timid stranger touched until the last petal of a rose fell sunset and shone in the gloom, like a star Gloria perfect pride criticized the head of Hera! My interpretation is that the statue of Hera Heraion topic archtecture or cause means something. Someone please give me hell that this poem is about
Argos is a city of Greece and Mycenae is located six miles north of it. The poem describes a "sanctuary" that contains a statue of Hera, queen of the gods of Olympus, and located between the two locations. "Heraion" is the name of the building or The temple houses the statue and worship. Once she was "veiled mysterious myrtle and pine trees" … etc. .. is what might have described the sanctuary as at its peak. But "glory punished" implies that the glory is pruned, or has suffered. Perhaps a reference to the fact that he was revered as the queen of the gods, and is now more than ruin and a myth?
